How do I play Who did it?

HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES: You can start by playing hidden object scenes. In the bottom of your screen there will be a list of items , or silhouettes that you need to locate. After you have noticed them, just tap on them to pick them up.

Try to find them as fast as you can because it will improve your score. There are total of 5 stars that you can earn per scene and each one is more difficult to acquire.

While collecting stars you will uncover secrets and clues which will lead to the remainder of the story. While solving that story you will unlock new locations filled with hidden object scenes and puzzles.

How do I earn stars?

Stars are necessary for finishing tasks. Depending on the importance of the task a different amount of the stars will be spent. They are gathered and used to advance the story, but they can’t be transferred between episodes.

Why do I need stars?

Why is the scene locked?

While progressing through the game you will unlock new scenes. To unlock locked scenes you must first finish tasks which lead to them. Your clues will lead you through the scenes and help you investigate new locations.

How do I unlock the next episode?

The next episode will unlock once you have finished all the tasks in the current episode.

How do I go back to past episodes?

In order to return to previous episodes please go to the map and from there choose the chapter you wish to visit.

Can I replay already mastered scenes in earlier episodes?

You can replay mastered scenes by going to your map.

What are puzzles?

You will find different puzzles throughout the game which will help you solve the case and progress through the game.

What are the Daily rewards?

Daily Rewards are shown when you first enter the game where you can win hints, energy, magnet hints, an even cash which is generated randomly. Simply tap on the reward to collect it. After 22 days you will receive an expansion to your energy bar.

What are missions?

A special puzzle appear after completing an episode. You will be able to see this in the tab at the side of your episode screen. After you master each scene you will get a puzzle piece.

Can I rewatch the trailers?

Currently unavailable.

Currencies

Why do you sometimes use stars and other times energy?

You can use the stars to unlock new scenes, puzzles and objectives.

For investigating new locations and playing the unlocked scenes you use energy.

Why do I need cash?

Cash can be used as premium currency to purshase energy, speed up the analysis and buy magnets.

How do I get more cash?

Cash can be obtained in several ways:

  1. Purchasing it via online payment.
  2. Cash can be won when you collect all the stars on one scene.
  3. Cash can be won as a daily reward.

Why do I need energy?

Energy is needed to investigate scenes and unlock new locations.

Why do i use energy?

Each time you investigate areas 10 points of energy are spent. After you have gained 5 stars the mount halves.

How do I get more energy?

There are a couple of ways to regain energy:

  1. You will automatically regenerate 1 energy every 2 minutes
  2. Energy can be purchased from the shop using cash.
  3. Energy can also be claimed as a daily gift after returning to the game.

What are hints? - what is the difference?

Magnetic hintThis hint is a very powerful magnet that attracts all the items that are in its vicinity. you will be able to use magnet hint from the bottom left on your screen.

Looking glass hintThis hints points one random hidden object on the scene and it is placed in the bottom right of your screen.

How do I get more hints?

There are a couple of ways to gain hints:

  1. Hints can be purchased from the shop using cash.
  2. Hints can also be claimed as a  daily gift after returning to the game.

Technical Support

How do i switch off sound and music?

Switch off sounds and music by tapping the Settings icon in the top left corner of your screen.

Tap to enable or disable the music and sound effects (SFX).

How do i change the game to a different language?

Currently unavailable.

Why is it important to update my game?

In order to receive new cases, fixes, technical improvement and features you are advised to update the game.

Game is frozen, what should I do?

If your game is frozen you can try re-starting the same after you have made sure that you have the latest version.

Do not uninstall your game!

If you uninstall the game you will lose all your game progress. First completely shut down and re-start the game instead and if that is not enough try re-staring your device.

I purchased item/s but I did not received it. What should I do?

Try to re-start the game and make sure that your internet connection is stable. If you are playing the game on Facebook Gameroom, and in case you bought something from the in-game store and you still haven’t received the bought item please go to the https://www.facebook.com/help/1397933243846983?helpref=faq_content and follow the instructions to get your ID number. You will find your ID when you click on our game icon. Then send the ID of your profile to our support mail which is support@bravegiant.com.

1. Scope
Following data protection notice tells Users how their personal data is used.

The company responsible is Brave Giant Studios (“Brave Giant”, “we”, “our”). Users can find out more about Brave Giant on our site – www.bravegiant.com/about-us.

Brave Giant provides games and related services that can be used with friends or in a social network. Users share, sample and design games with other people – our services unite people in fun and enjoyment. At the same time though, we take the privacy of the user’s personal details very seriously and handle them with great care, in keeping with data protection law. Where applicable, before commencing play, the user consents to its personal data being recorded and used by us in the way described in this data protection notice. The user’s data is needed for actual technical usage, for the communicative setup, and for our games to be further developed.

2. Log files when visiting Brave Giant; cookies

Every time a Brave Giant service is accessed, that communication automatically generates data. Brave Giant only stores and uses Log files related data that does not enable a person to be identified (e.g. by making the IP address anonymous), the purpose being to obtain technical and statistical information for correcting faults or improving the website and/or for doing research and analysis.

“Cookies” (session IDs) are also used. Cookies are miniature text files that can be saved temporarily or permanently on the user’s computer by the browser. Cookies guarantee the consistency of each communication process. Temporary cookies can be used to identify which visits are all part of a single session. Permanent cookies are for re-recognizing a user, for instance so that individual settings can be made. Users are free to decide whether to let their browser use cookies: all browser programs allow cookies to be deactivated or deleted. Functions for which the computer has to be recognized will then only be available to a limited extent, or not at all.

3. User and gaming data at Brave Giant

By taking part in a game, a user allows Brave Giant to use its data (e.g. player name, level, results, prizes, coins, etc) for staging the game and services, in other words to offer the user a safe, efficient and customized gaming experience. This may also include the information that Brave Giant swaps with the platform on which the user plays our games (e.g. profile name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, friends list). Brave Giant is continually refining its games and services, adapting them to user requirements by using data provided anonymously or under a pseudonym. We positively encourage every user to make an active contribution to the design of its games and services. We use personal user data to manage game registration, to personalize subsequent visits, and to operate and stage the games. Since the majority of Brave Giant games also provide an opportunity for a communal gaming experience, Brave Giant may also display your player status or scores to friends and other players.

In addition to this, Brave Giant may collect and use a user’s personal data if it is needed for billing any games and services that have been used. We may also use the data in locked form to comply with retention periods laid down by law or required by contract.

If a user sends us an question or subscribes to special services, such as a newsletter, we will ask it for the information that we need in order to deal with its request. This information is used on a voluntary basis and only to the extent required or previously approved by the user (see also Item 10).

We may appoint third parties to help us provide our services (e.g. for operating technical platforms or processing payments). However, we take responsibility for monitoring how your information is used at any time.

4. Email and other electronic addresses

Every user has the opportunity when for example registering for a game to state its email or other electronic addresses, so that we can send out gaming news. Users may also order newsletters from us about Brave Giant or our games.

Users may at any time decline to receive email advertising or a newsletter, and can withdraw consent with immediate effect. The simplest way for a user to do this is to use the special link or the email function and to specify its preferred settings.

5. Use of personal data for marketing purposes

We never sell or hire out the user’s personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

If the user has given consent (see also Item 10), we may display targeted advertising in Brave Giant games and services, or we may place or arrange for a cookie (see Item 2) so that targeted advertising can be displayed in the user’s browser. This might include advertising that could be of particular interest to the user in view of the game being played for instance, or its age group or where it lives. We mainly advertise our own games and services. If we ever advertise for a third party, we will not provide the advertiser with any personal data and IP addresses and device identifiers (such as MAC addresses) will be duly abbreviated. Device identifiers help to optimize the delivery of the advertisements. They are not collected or stored, but only accessed locally on the user’s device and immediately converted to secure hashed-based identifiers so that they cannot be resolved back to the original device identifier.

6. Use of personal data by other players on Brave Giant

Depending on the user settings, other players may see personal data in the game or on the relevant platform. We do not allow other players to use this information outside a game. If another player obtains personal data because of the way the user has adjusted the settings, we can no longer guarantee the protection of that information any more. For this reason, each user should check in advance that its settings only allow its data to be viewed by people it trusts.

7. Platforms

Brave Giant’s games are offered through a variety of platforms for apps and software. Any platform of this kind might collect and use personal details whenever the user accesses it, registers with it or uses it. Brave Giant has no control over this whatsoever. Users will find all the relevant information in the terms and conditions and in the data privacy policies of the platform concerned.

8. Use of other plugins

Our games, services and websites may also contain other plugins. Each plugin is the responsibility of its provider (e.g. Twitter, Google). Again, this means that we have no control over the amount of information that the respective provider collects with the help of its own plugin, or how it then uses that information.

If the user is not yet a customer of the provider or has not (yet) consented there to having its data collected and used, we recommend not clicking on these plugins.

If, on the other hand, the user is already a customer of the plugin provider, it should refer directly to the relevant provider for information on the kind and amount of personal data it collects and uses, and for what purpose.

9. Information; deletion and blocking of data

Users are always able to view their gaming details (e.g. player name, score, units, features) by logging in to the relevant platform and calling up the game. Users can make their own deletions and amendments there directly.

Brave Giant immediately provide information free of charge on any other user data and inventory data – electronically or in writing, if so requested. Before furnishing any information, we may insist on being sent some form of documentation to prove the enquirer’s identity and confirm its authenticity.

Once the user’s contractual agreement with Brave Giant has come to an end, essential data will be blocked for an appropriate processing period, and any optional information other than that will be erased.

10. Withdrawal of consent; objection to advertising, market research or opinion polls

While the use of personal data is based on consent given by the user, this may be withdrawn at any time with immediate effect. Information on how to do this can be found in the FAQ on the relevant game (support@bravegiant.com). Withdrawing consent may result in services no longer being available, or to a user’s contractual agreement being terminated. We also reserve the right to base our data privacy procedures on statutory regulations at any time.

If a user wishes to object to its personal details being used for advertising, market research or opinion polls, further information can be found in the FAQ on the relevant game (support@bravegiant.com ). A notice or unsubscribe option (e.g. a button) may be provided on each service used. If the user sends an objection, advertising that does not use its personal data (InGame, for example) will not be affected.

11. Security

We use standard security practices, including encryption, passwords and physical security measures, to protect your personal data from unauthorized access and disclosure. Your user account information is stored on a secure server with firewall protection. If a user enters sensitive data (such as a credit card number), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Terms of Service

Brave Giant Studios (“Brave Giant” or “we”), is a developer and publisher of games and mobile game applications that are made available via app stores including the iTunes App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore and others.

Acceptance of these Terms of Service creates a binding legal agreement (“User Agreement”) between you (also the “User”) and Brave Giant . Each time you download one of our Games to your device, a new User Agreement is concluded and its terms apply to your use of the specific Game that you accepted these Terms of Service for.

1. About these Terms of Service

1.1 By downloading one of our Games, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Your relationship with Brave Giant will be subject to these, and only these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy are available for download on the Brave Giant website.

1.2 App stores and platforms may provide their own terms that apply to your relationship with these app stores and platforms.

1.3 You represent that you are 14 years or older. If you are younger than 18 years, you can only download or connect to our Games and play them on your device, if your parent(s) or legal guardian have/has reviewed these Terms of Service and allowed you to download and play our Game subject to these Terms of Service. Brave Giant may require adequate proof of your identity and age and consent from a parent or guardian at any time.

1.4 You represent that you are accessing our Games as a private person. Any commercial use of our Games is not allowed.

2. About playing our Games

2.1 You can play our Games upon download to your device. Information about gameplay, features and functions inside our Games can be found in the Game descriptions on the app stores and platforms, in support sections inside our Games and on the Brave Giant website.

2.2 Our Games are free to play, but you may purchase virtual items inside our Games to speed up gameplay and progress in the Game by spending real money. Prices for Virtual Items include applicable statutory turnover tax. Means of payment may vary depending on which app store or platform you make your purchase. Without prejudice to Sec. 3 below, Virtual Items cannot be exchanged into real money or refunded. You understand that you do not own Virtual Items, but acquire a limited license to use Virtual Items according to the specific Game’s gameplay.

2.3 You understand that downloading and playing our Games requires an Internet connection that you are responsible for. Your Internet service provider may charge you for gaining access to the Internet.

2.4 We continuously strive to improve our Games and may add new or remove existing features and content, but we will only do so taking into consideration and balancing User interests, and never change characteristic parts of a Game and gameplay. Brave Giant is under no obligation to continue providing either support or updates for versions of a Game that are not up-to-date.

2.5 Brave Giant may automatically update Games, also on the User’s mobile device, if the device’s settings allow for it, in particular to ensure the security of the system, for the sake of stability and compatibility, but only in due consideration of User interests.

2.6 Maintenance may affect availability of our Games, and will only happen in due consideration of User interests. Downtimes may also be caused by technical problems beyond Brave Giant’s control.

3. Instructions on withdrawal

3.1 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this User Agreement within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of this User Agreement.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you need to inform us (BraveGiant ltd, Strovolouo 77 Strovolos Center 2nd floor, office 204, 2018 Nicosia, Cyprus, support@bravegiant.com) of your decision to withdraw from this User Agreement by explicitly communicating so (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e- mail).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

3.2 Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this User Agreement, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this User Agreement. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

3.3 Special Information

Please note that your right to withdraw expires prior to the expiry of 14 days, if we have provided services to you immediately upon the start of this User Agreement and have informed you about such prior expiry before providing services and have received your consent thereto.

4. Ownership and Scope of License

4.1 Brave Giant owns or has licensed all rights, title and interest in and to the Games including all content (except for content created by users), software, program code, graphics, texts, game titles, and trademarks.

4.2 You can only download our Games and access our Games for your personal use. Brave Giant grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable limited license to download our Games to your device and play them provided that you are in compliance with these Terms of Service.

4.3 You understand that when you purchase a Virtual Item, you do not to own it, but acquire a limited license to use the Virtual Item as a feature inside the Game that you purchased the Virtual Item in. As Virtual Items are no assets that one can own, they cannot be transferred, neither from one Game to another nor from you to another user account nor vice versa. The license granted to you ends when you used up the purchased Virtual Item or this User Agreement expires.

5. User conduct

5.1 You shall download and connect to and play our Games only for your personal use and according to these Terms of Service, any app store and platforms terms and applicable law.

5.2 You shall only download and play our Games and acquire Virtual Items from the app stores and platforms that we make our Games available on, and only play our Games on devices and platforms that we provide the relevant Game for.

5.3 You shall not interfere with our Games and gameplay inside our Games irrespective of whether or not this includes manipulation of the software, backend or networks. In particular and without limitation you shall not:

create, offer or use hacks, cheats, exploits or any other unauthorized application, tool or command that modifies the Game or gameplay or circumvents technical protection measures in a way not intended by Brave Giant;
decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer our Games;
create, offer or use any malware (e.g. computer viruses, Internet worms, Trojan horses, hoaxes, dialers);
offer, provide or acquire our Games or Virtual Items by means other than explicitly facilitated by Brave Giant;
spy on Brave Giant, its Games or any other services or users or collect data unauthorized;
sell and transfer a Game account.
5.4 If provision of information or data is required, you must provide all of these accurately and in full, and keep them up-to-date at all times.

6. User communication and content

6.1 Our Games may allow you to communicate with other users and post content (e.g. texts, pictures). When you interact with other users or make content available via our Games, you shall not:

post or use any communication or content that breaches applicable law including third-party rights, e.g. rights in intellectual property, rights to confidentiality or rights to privacy;
post or use any communication or content that is abusive, unethical, racist, obscene, discriminating, pornographic, harmful to minors or glorifies violence, or is objectionable in any other way;
threaten, insult, provoke or harass others including other users as well as Brave Giant and its employees and partners, for example, by using abusive language, stalking or spamming, etc;
post or use any content or communication for commercial purposes;
link or refer to any source outside our Games that is in breach of this Sec. 6.1.
6.2 Brave Giant, in this context only the provider of the technical means to communicate or make content available, is neither obliged nor able to monitor communication or content made available by you or other users via our Games, and does not assume any liability to that extent. Any person that makes communication or content available via our Games remains only responsible for such communication and content, so you remain responsible for your communication and content. You shall indemnify Brave Giant against all and any claims that are brought against Brave Giant as a result from your breach of Sec. 6.1, unless not caused by your fault.

6.3 Brave Giant reserves to remove any such communication or content, if we have reasonable ground to believe them to break third party rights or any other applicable law or Sec. 6.1. If you believe communication or content made available via our Games violate your rights or is in breach of these Terms of Service, please notify us at support@bravegiant.com

6.4 By making communication or content available via our Games, you grant Brave Giant a permanent right to use your communication and content for display inside our Games, to publish your communication and content in all media and to adapt them for this purpose. You may withdraw from this grant of rights by giving appropriate notice to Brave Giant at support@bravegiant.com.

7. Liability and limitation of liability

7.1 Nothing in these Terms of Service shall limit Brave Giant’s liability where applicable law does not allow for such limitation. In particular, Brave Giant’s liability shall not be limited:

for death or personal injury from Brave Giant’s or any of our statutory representatives’ or agents’ negligence or malice;
for any other kind of damages and loss from Brave Giant’s or any of our statutory representatives’ or agents’ gross negligence or malice or fraud;
in case Brave Giant has assumed an explicit quality guarantee;
in case Brave Giant is liable according to the Cyprus Product Liability Law.
7.2 Without prejudice to Sec. 7.1 and only where applicable law allows for such limitation, Brave Giant shall only be liable for Brave Giant’s or any of our statutory representatives’ or agents’ slight negligence, if this causes a breach of an essential obligation under this User Agreement (obligations that need to be fulfilled in order to achieve the purpose of this User Agreement and on whose fulfillment a User can usually rely upon). In this case, Brave Giant’s liability shall be limited to predictable damages and losses that usually occur in these cases. Any further liability of Brave Giant is excluded.

8. Contract duration and termination

8.1 This User Agreement runs for an indefinite term.

8.2 Either party may terminate this User Agreement at any time by giving 14-days notice (written or electronic communication, e.g. via e-mail, required). You may also terminate the User Agreement with immediate effect by deleting the Game from your devices.

8.3 If we have reasonable ground to believe that you are in material breach of these Terms of Service, we may suspend your access to our Game and terminate this User Agreement. Your breach of Sec. 5 or 6 shall be considered a material breach.

8.4 Either party may terminate the User Agreement for cause without giving notice. Grounds for such termination for cause include material breach of these Terms of Service.

8.5 Upon expiry, you will no longer be able to access the Game that was the subject matter of the User Agreement. Your in-game progress and any other Game-related data will be deleted. Only if Brave Giant continues to operate the Game, you may again download the Game by wich a new User Agreement will start to run. However, any game-related data cannot be restored.

9. Final provisions

9.1 Brave Giant may transfer all or a part of its rights or obligations pursuant to this User Agreement to a third party without your consent. You may transfer any of your rights or obligations under this User Agreement only with our prior written approval.

9.2 We reserve to amend these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you about amendments by a special notice no later than four weeks before such changes take effect, either by notification inside the Game or in the description of a Game update on a Platform. You may object to the changes within four weeks from such notice. If you do not object within four weeks, the changes shall be considerd as accepted by you. If you object, we may terminate this User Agreement in accordance with Sec. 8. When we notify you about the amendments we will also inform you about the deadline for objecting to the amendments and consequences if you fail to object.

9.3 This User Agreement is governed by Cyprus law, excluding CISG. If your place of residence is outside of Cyprus at the time you enter into this User Agreement, mandatory provisions of law in your jurisdiction concerning applicable law shall remain unaffected and apply.

9.4 If any provision of these Terms of Service is held to be invalid or impossible to enforce , validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
